1. Apply insect control to roses, flowers & garden. 2. Divide Iris, Peonies and fall bulbs. 3. Continue to water on your current watering schedule watering days three times a week for turf and two to three times per week for drip systems depending on the rainfall. 4. Leave mowing heights the same for both fescue and bluegrass. Mowing only once a week if heat is extreme.

Have you Winterized??

1. If you have not Winterized your system yet, call HUNT IRRIGATION to schedule an appointment! 2. Winterize lawn & garden equipment. It is not necessary to drain fuel, just add a supplement. 3. Change oil in lawn & garden equipment so you are ready for next spring. 4. Have mower blades sharpened and tiller tines filed. Wash mower base to prevent fungus rot. 5. Have snow blower tuned-up.

Apply pre-emergent to lawn Begin to plant annuals Start fungicide on roses Apply Merit or Dylox for grub control switching every other year Fescue: Mow at 3 to 3.5 inches. Mowing twice a week. Fine blade fescue should be mowed at 2.5 to 3 inches Bluegrass: 2.5 to 3 inches in height (never remove more than 1/3 the growth height at any one mowing).
